Fantastic, Fun, & Funky!

For those of you that don't know I have another addiction besides shoes--- Japanese Fabric! I love the quarky prints and making unexpected items with the fabric. The problem is the designs are seasonal, just like fashion, and most are printed in a limited run. So if you see something you like you must purchase it immediately, or suffer without it.

When Melody Miller released her Fall 2011 line, I wasn't sure about most of it; however, there was one print that I adored.... Love Letters.

Unfortunately I was unable to find the fabric. Most of my regular suppliers only carried a couple of the prints from the line and this was not one of them. When I did finally locate some on-line retailers that carried this print, they were already sold out! I even searched e-Bay and Etsy, two sites I resort to when all else fails.

Today, determined to find this fabric, I decided to not search by the designer or manufacturer, I just simply typed 'typewriter' into the search function of Etsy, then I waited....... And there it was!!!!! Overjoyed, I purchased all that I needed, because as usual, I already have plans for this funky fabric. I am very excited and cannot wait for it to arrive. I will post photos of the metamorphosis, once it has occurred!

I cannot believe that I have gone 7 months, carefully calculating, organizing, re-organizing, photographing, and posting SHOES! And today I post pair 138, the final pair for the challenge. No, this is not my last pair of shoes; however, it is the last pair I have that I can wear to work.

I am glad I saved these shoes for today. I had a C-R-A-Z-Y day! First thing this morning I had to drop of my car in Santa Ana, then to work for an hour, then to the orthodontist, then back to work, then back to Santa Ana to pick up the car, then back to work.... so these grey Blowfish flats were perfect!

I wore them with jeans, a black and white polka-dot top, and a golden yellow cardigan!

While this is not my last post, I am very excited to not be double checking my shoe choice for tomorrow :)! I will be back with some features, as well as some sewing projects!

Another Mass Update

As this challenge wraps up, life gets busier and busier. Work is as hectic as ever, I started back to school last week, and home feels like it is in a state of constant remodel; however, my organization skills have been hard at work in an effort to get some of the smaller projects accomplished!

This will be the last mass update, as the challenge will be as complete as possible tomorrow. What does that mean??? Well, I have worn all the shoes to work that are within our dress code. I must admit, some days I have pushed the limit, but I made it from July 2011 all the way through January 2012 without fail!

With that being said, I will get to your update.

Friday 1/20/12 Pair 132

Who doesn't love a comfortable pair of shoes? I usually sneak these chocolate brown, suede, Birkenstock mules in between wearing too many pairs of heels to give my feet (and back) a break.

Monday 1/23/12 Vacation... no shoes required!

Tuesday 1/24/12 Pair 133

I love these red suede BCBG shoes. They are luxurious and super sexy. I do not wear them to the office too often, usually they are reserved for a nice dinner out or special event.

Wednesday 1/25/12 Pair 134

Another pair of Chucks! I love the great color.... called Bamboo Green. After yesterday, I had to have some comfort!

Thursday 1/26/12 Pair 135

These shoes are very very very old. I have had them since the early 90's. I only remember because they were 'stolen' from an old roommate and very dear friend! I love to wear them with floods and vintage dresses. And they never have laces....

Friday 1/27/12 Pair 136

Well, its Friday and the dress code is a bit more relaxed so I threw on these Acics running shoes with a pair of jeans, super cute top, and a cardigan.

Monday 1/30/12 Pair 137

These gold sandals push the limit of the dress code standards, but I have not heard any complaints yet. Of course, it was 40 degrees when I left my house this morning... not the best choice, but I had to get them in! I have them paired with dark wash jeans, a black print top, a purple cardigan, and gold tone accessoires.... FUN!

I will be back tomorrow with the final pair of the challenge. However, I will be posting some features of things that did not make the dress code cut, as well as more sewing projects with some super funky fabrics!

Another Mass Update

I apologize for having to keep doing weekly updates instead of daily; however, as this challenge wears on, get it, home and work get busier and busier. Also, I am down to a handful of shoes left, that are legal to wear into the office. Once I finish with office appropriate shoes, which should be next week, I will post a photo of the shoes that didn't survive the dress code cut, but are still surviving in my collection.

Monday 1/16/12
Pair 128 is an awesome pair of super high heels that I adore! I wore them with a great black a line dress that hit just above the knee and a pair of art-deco style textured tights.

Tuesday 1/17/12
Pair 129 is a pair of Converse by Jack Purcell. They are brown velvet with pink accents. Super fun!

Wednesday 1/18/12
Pair 130 is bright and colorful pair of Poetic Licence shoes. There is so much going on with these shoes that you may be wondering what you could possibly wear them with.....

I paired them with one of my 'made by me' skirts, a white top, and a matching blue cardigan. I received a ton of compliments too!

This is the fabric used to make the skirt I wore.

Thursday 1/19/12
Pair 131 is another pair from my Converse collection. These are a great Cornflower blue color (we spent some time this morning trying to remember old Crayola Crayon colors). I was told I looked very 'colorful' today.... hmmmm!

Our mini-vacation was great! We had an amazing time, and I highly recommend staying at the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, if you get the chance. The kids loved the bunk beds, the pools, the crazy water slide, and of course all the time at Disneyland and California Adventure.

Today I am wearing pair 126. A colorful pair of Irregular Choice heels.

Also, this challenge is rapidly reaching its end, and due to some recent dress code changes I

may have to include some 'featured' shoes that are only permitted on Fridays.

I'll put it to my committee and advise.

That has been me this week! I will be off for a few days which entails planning for anything that could go wrong. And I have also been distracted by some personal issues... it's all positive and hopefully I will have some updates on 'these' items soon!

Pair 123 is adorable funky pair of flats I picked up a few months ago. They seem simple and stylish, but they really have a lot going on!

Also, I was able to squeeze in a work out on my lunch out so we might as well count my running shoes as pair 124.

Pair 125 is my most unique Converse yet! The style name is Reggae and you can see why...

I received a ton of compliments on these shoes today. I have them paired with jeans, a green top and a natural colored cardigan.

I hope you had a nice long weekend and had time to enjoy some football, make some resolutions, and spend time with family! I spent a fair amount of time watching both NFL and College Bowl Games!

Since I spent a majority of Friday cleaning my cube, I forgot to post my shoes. So here they are --- pair 121. A great pair of checkered vans!

And today I am wearing pair 122. An amazing pair of Michael Kors heels that I acquired at Nordstrom Rack for a fraction of the price posted on-line at his website! Lucky me!!!

I apologize, as I am a few days behind in posting. So today will be another catch up day. I am still recovering from being sick, compounded by holiday craziness, cleaning, and de-christmasting the House!

Friday 12/23/11
On Friday I wore pair 117. A pair of silk Rock Dog peep toe flats. I had them paired with a cute dress and sweater, appropriate for a Christmas lunch celebration and last minute gift pick up on the way home.

Tuesday 12/27/11
After a nice 3-day weekend and lots of celebration, I decided to break out a classic pair of Nine West black super pointy heels. Pair 118 was very high in the rotation, prior to this challenge!

Wednesday 12/28/11

Now we are caught up to today. Today I am wearing pair 119. An amazing pair of Lucky Brand strappy black heels. These were purchased to replace pair 95 (worn on 11/17/11). I think these will be a good substitute, and I anticipate a long life of wear for these shoes.

I hope your plans are coming together to ring in the New Year, sadly I will be on call for work....and any friends/family nearby who have done too much celebrating to drive home safely!

Also AAA will be running Tipsy Tow again this year.

From 6 pm to 6 am (12/31 to 1/1) they will pick up you and your vehicle and take you home

Yeah....It's Winter Solstice!

Our days are going to start getting longer.... WOOHOO! I do not like leaving work at 4 pm only to walk outside and it's already dark. In just a few short weeks, I will have enough light to enjoy the beach after work! Almost as exciting as Christmas!

On to business...today I am wearing pair 115. These are a great pair of green faux croc heels, another pair of Irregular Choice with a funky inside print also!

Also, since I had a field meet today, I wore pair 116. Another classic pair of Doc's.

Well, I am off to fight the crowds and try to finish up my Christmas shopping.... lucky me!

I'm back! I was home sick on Monday and the last thing I wanted to do was look at the computer to post anything. I was in the office briefly yesterday; however, I was not feeling much better so I did what I had to do and then went home and back to bed!

Even though I still wasn't feeling well yesterday, I did come into the office, which means I still have to work within the challenge guidelines. So I wore pair 113, my grey Chucks!

Today I am feeling much better and well rested. I am wearing pair 114; a fantastic pair of Steve Madden flats.

9 More Days!

I cannot believe Christmas will be here in 9 days. I really need to finish my shopping! Just a few more things to pick up and help relieve Santa of some extra duties! We are in non-stop food mode here in the office. I am happy I am a picky eater, as I avoid most of it; however, today I was given a customized cookie painted to look like ME!!!!

Isn't it adorable? I love the pink shoes!

Well today I have two more pairs of shoes for you!

First pair #111, an amazing pair of chestnut Baily Button Ugg boots!

I have wanted these boots since they where introduced a few years ago and after working 8 days of storm duty decided I would finally splurge on them. I am a little bummed that the picture does not show the true richness of the color, they look a bit washed out here.... but I 'heart' them!

I have since changed into pair #112, a pair of gold and black Irregular choice kitten heals.

I have received a ton of compliments on these shoes. And of course I love them, the crazy details, and yes... the orange and purple metallic on the inside is a great added bonus!

Today I am wearing pair #110. These are a great pair of black flats with a subtle black on black ruffle detail. Prior to the challenge, I wore these shoes at least once a week. I love flat pointy shoes and they are very had to find.... trust me, I have looked!

My office is overflowing with enough holiday food and tasty treats to tempt even the strongest willed. After 3 days of avoiding the gluttony, I finally caved and enjoyed a very rich piece of cheese cake today; however, now I am paying for it. The sugar overload is wreaking havoc with my eye-lids and they are demanding that I close them. As this is not a viable option at this time, I opted to pour some caffeine into my system. I'm sure that will get me through the next few hours.

Meanwhile, here is pair #109. A vibrant pair of red pep toe flats.

Today I have these shoes paired with a black flirty dress over a red tank, black footless tights, and a cheetah print cardigan for some retro flair!

Today is Bob Barker's 88th birthday! I must admit that I spent many a sick day watching the Price is Right; however, my favorite Bob Barker role has to be in Happy Gilmore. I love when he fights with Adam Sanlder, so out of character from what you expect after years of watching him host a game show and hysterical!

Today I have 2 pairs of shoes for your viewing pleasure! First, pair 105, another pair of Uggs... these are olive green and perfect for the super cold mornings.

The second pair, 106, is another pair of Irregular Choice. Honestly, I did not realize that I owned so many pairs of this brand. These are an olive green suede with purple foil embossing. However; I love the buttons and baubles attached to the shoe.

Now, I admit, these shoes are not for everyone; but I adore them!

It's Friday and I am back home! I am very excited to be done with 24 hour shifts with only an 8 hour break. While it was needed and a great experience, it was also exhausting and strenuous.

Today I am wearing pair #104. An amazing pair of tall, ruched, black boots.

As you can see, I have them paired with some fun tights, a black dress, and a funky black and white sweater. A fun and girly outfit, after 8 days of jeans and work boots!

Today I am wearing pair 103. This is another from my sub-collection of Irregular Choice shoes, but more importantly, this was my very first pair. At first they appear to be a subtle pair of black sling backs....

but after closer investigation....

This is one of the reasons I have fallen in love with this brand. The shoes, much like things found in Wonderland, are not quite what they seem!

Mark Twain is a literary genius and I spent my fair share of time reading some of his classics; however, I am intrigued by his autobiography that was recently released and have it on my list of books to read.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope you all have a relaxing extended weekend and a great dinner with family and friends.

Yesterday, due to technical difficulties, I was unable to post, so I will cover two days in one! First pair 98, a pretty pair of pink peep toe heels. I wore these yesterday with black capries, a pink fitted top and a black cardigan w/cream and pink details.

And then today I am wearing pair #99, a pair of winter white Doc Marten mules.

I have these shoes paired with jeans, a winter white top, and winter white cardigan.

I will be back next week to continue on with pair 100!

Yes, Tweety Bird made his first appearance on this day in 1942, in a 7 minute cartoon titled "The Tale of Two Kitties". I grew up watching Looney Tunes and had no idea that some of them had been drawn so long ago.

This is a short work week, which I am very excited about. I hope you are all ready, or making your final preparations, for this weekends festivities. As usual, I am not ready nor are all my plans finalized.... I am far from worried.... these things always work themselves out!

Today I am wearing pair #97, a very old and faithful pair of black tall suede boots.

As you can see, I have them paired with some great textured tights! I also have on a jewel tone green dress with a thick black belt, and a black, vintage, beaded cardigan.

I am so so so so so happy it is Friday! This has been a very long week, field with some unusual challenges; however, I have survived and am looking forward to a relaxing evening at home and more of the same throughout the weekend.

Today I am wearing pair #96. A fun and flirty pair of Rocket Dog slingbacks. I love the subtle flower detail and how the bright colors pop off of the black background.

I have these shoes paired with jeans, a super cute tank with a ruffle detail down the center and some great birds for extra detail (I PUT A BIRD ON IT!), and a gold cardigan.

Okay, so I love a good black strappy shoe with a solid stacked heel. And let me tell you they are very hard to find. I have found plenty with a spiked heel, but that is not my preference! So when I found pair 95 a few years ago, I was ecstatic!

These shoes have a bit of a hard edge and go great with everything. Today, I have them paired with an army green knee length fitted dress with a matching tie belt, black footless textured tights, and a black cardigan.

The sad news is that this will most likely be the last time I can wear these shoes. They are very, very old and have spent there fair share of time at Sam's Shoes, the local shoe repair in San Clemente. Last time I took them in, the delivered the bad news that there was nothing more they could, but I just can not let them go without a suitable replacement.

Today is my big bother, Gino's, birthday; however, I know some great kids that used to be scared of him and his formerly overgrown facial hair. So we decided that, since he has a giant octopus tattoo, that he would be affectionately nick named Uncle Krackin', and that seemed make him less 'scary'! So Happy Birthday! I hope it's the best yet!

As for my shoes... today is pair 94. A classic pair of 8-hole Doc's! Yes, these are original, made in England Doc's!

Normally these would be paired with a vintage dress and some crazy tights; but, sadly not today! Jeans and a top suitable for time in the field!

Hard to remember...

Some days, I actually have to scroll back through all my posts, just to ensure I am not duplicating shoes. I have taking a lot of time to organize my closet and have tried to be diligent, but I am very thankful for a blog full of photos that can confirm today is not a repeat!

Today I am wearing pair #93. A pair of great Madden Girl, red leather, round toe, heels.

I love the vibe of this shoe. They have a great retro look, and for some reason they remind me of my Grandma Molly. I never saw her wear shoes like this, at least not that I remember, but something about the color and look makes me think of her.

Today I have these shoes paired with black floods, a red top with tiny white polka dots, and a vintage black beaded cardigan. I even have on some great bright red lipstick, MAC's Russian Red, to be exact!

I am still trying to get on track, after a nice, relaxing, rainy weekend. This weekend I finished a book and started another, I finished unpacking the kitchen, and took a few naps. It was great!

Today I am wearing pair #92. This shoes, purchased on clearance for $5 at H&M last year, are business in front and definite party in the back!

The comments today have been great! When you see these shoes from the front you would never suspect the sensational detailing in the back!

No you didn't miss anything! I was home sick yesterday... curled up on the couch in my pj's, drinking hot tea, and doing what I could to feel better, including not posting to this fantastic blog. It worked! Today I am back at work running like crazy to catch up!

Today I am wearing pair #89, a super comfy pair of Roxy shoes with warm fleece lining.

They are just what I needed today. Comfort and warmth!

Also, I got a fun gift today from a friend/co-worker. She just returned from a trip to Hawaii and said she happened by a fabric store and knew she has to peruse the shop for something fun and unusual for me!

She brought me 2-yards of this amazing fabric:

Rain, rain, and more rain...

I love waking up to the sound of rain; however, I don't like having to get up and go about my day in the rain. Rainy days are great for lazing around the house, baking, watching movies, and taking naps! So today I have already ventured to the orthodontist, the office, and will be heading out to the field for a while.

Good thing I am prepared! Today I have not one, but two pairs of footwear to add to the challenge total. First pair #87 is a super fun pair of rain boots. They are made my Little Miss Matched. I frequently reference their socks, but they also make awesome rain boots!

I get a ton of compliments and comments on these boots. I adore them and it makes splashing in puddles so much more fun!

Now that I am in the office, I have put on pair #88. My purple passion Chucks! What more do I need to say.... they are purple and that makes them awesome in their own right!

I hope you have a great weekend and find something fun to do in the rain. As for me, I will be breaking in my new kitchen tonight with one of my favorite meals..... potato tacos! YUMMMMMMM!

Thankful for Thursday!

I had a very nice time last night at the Skirball Center, even if it was a bit unorganized and behind schedule. I truly enjoyed the conversation that was presented by some amazing, very established, educated women! It was a welcome change to be celebrated for being a career woman with an education, instead of being judged based on what size pants I wear.

One of the guest speakers, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, is a documentary film maker. Her film "Miss Representation" looks amazing. The film explores the media's misrepresentation of women and how it has effected our culture. I cannot wait to see it and take action to help change our culture!

Also, I came home last night to a (almost) complete kitchen! Tomorrow is our 4 month anniversary of moving into our new house and I finally have a kitchen! I am so excited! The balance of the work (faucet and garbage disposal) is scheduled to be completed today. All that will be left is our counter tops and floor. However, even without those last two items, my kitchen is (will be by tonight) fully functional! WOOHOO!!!! Here are a couple pictures...

Now back to, what seems a bit trivial after last night, the shoe challenge. Today I am wearing pair #86, an amazing pair of Franco Sarto suede boots.

Love, love, love these boots! Today I have them paired with an olive green dress that has some very small purple and camel flower details, and a camel cardigan.

this week is dragging on! It seems to be going very slow to me!

Well, today is a very busy day! A large majority of my kitchen will be finished today.... WOOHOO! Then I have the normal crazy work day, followed by a special event tonight up in LA. I will be attending a women's event at the Skirball Center including cocktails, conversation, and a private viewing of the exhibit "Woman Hold Up Half the Sky". I am looking forward to it!

Today I have two pairs of shoes to add to the challenge total. Pair #84 a pair of pink Ugg boots that I wore into the office this morning.

Now I am wearing pair #85, a great pair of grey buckle boots.

They go great with my grey and cream dress and textured tights. My outfit is accented with a purple tank and cardigan.

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend filled with haunted Halloween parties and other sorts of mischief! As previously blogged, mine was spent caring for a sick spouse. However, after my fabulous care, he is feeling much better!

Today I am wearing pair #83, a pair of pretty purple pumps by Madden Girl. They go amazing with my new skirt I made yesterday. (Details in yesterday's blog post).

Along with my new skirt, I have them paired with a fitted ruched purple top, black cardigan, black opaque tights, a plethora of purple and gold accessories, and a bat head band to show some Halloween spirit!

Well, I spent another day close to home as hubby is not feeling much better. But that's okay, because my sewing machine was happy to help me pass the time between doling out medicine and making soup!

Today I wanted to work with some fantastic fabric from the Aviary 2 line by Joel Dewberry. I have a couple different prints from this line, but already had shoes and a top picked out to wear with this great cotton print.

So between working on some other projects, I whipped up this little skirt. Super basic, but the print lends itself to the simple lines. Can't wait to wear it tomorrow with some GREAT shoes!!!

Okay, not always... however, I have been home caring for a sick spouse so it was a great way to pass time between making soup and Theraflu!

Today I used this amazing *organic* cotton sheeting made by Birch Fabrics. The line is called "Circa 60 Mod Beach" and it is super adorable.

I chose these two prints from the collection for a specific project. We have some friends that are expecting a baby boy and the daddy-to-be is borderline pro surfer. So I thought this would be a fun combo for a blanket.

Since I had some fabric left over and some matching terry cloth I also decided to make a matching bib.

Well, as I posted on Monday, I have been taking care of my Grandma for the last two days. And at Grandma's house, there is NO INTERNET! So I did continue with my challenge but was unable to post yesterday. Fear not, as I have photo's from yesterday that not only include her plush pink carpet, but also her super cute puppy Sammy!

Pair #79 is a great pair of olive suede Ocean Minded flip-flops! Worn to walk Sammy and other various outside duties required by Grandma!

And for today...pair #80. A favorite that I wear often. Brown suede ruched pointy toe boots.

Monday Madness!

Well, I am trying to wrap some stuff up at the office because this afternoon I start my first shift of Grandma Care. Grandma recently had hip replacement surgery and per doctor's order must have 24 hour care until further notice. She is doing great and there are no complications, this is just a precaution and I am happy to help out.

Today I have two pairs of shoes for you to peruse. Pair #77 are another pair of Ugg's that I threw on this morning because I was freezing. These boots were a Christmas gift from my husband a few years ago... again, another score for hubby!

Pair #78 is a great pair of Anne Klein iflex camel leather mules.

I purchased these shoes at Macy's during a super clearance sale some time ago. I remember this experience so clearly because the sale price was so ridiculous ($15 marked down from $125) that I had people following me through the shoe department asking me if I was going to purchase the shoes and if not could I give them the shoes before I left. Of course, this only made me want the shoes more! And I do love them. They are amazingly comfortable, have unique detailing, and go with just about anything!

Also, this weekend I was finally able to address the other portion of this blog... Fabulous Fabric! I finally busted out my sewing machine after a 4 month hiatus that was caused by our move. I also had some cute little kids visiting that love to help out. So I was able to complete two new special requests.

Aren't they adorable? They did a great job helping and are loving showing off their (our) work!

With that news, I am excited to be dressed in a whimsical pink sweater that matches pair #76. These Rocketdog skimmers where actually purchased by my husband because he thought they looked like something I would wear. He was sooooo right!!!

They go great with my black ruffled dress, pink cardigan, and funky pink accessories.

Happy Thursday! I hope you are having a fantastic week. Today I have two pairs of shoes for your viewing pleasure.

First pair #74. A cute pair of Nicole black leather mules. I like the white top stitching and subtle button detail. Another pair of classics with a low heel that I can walk in all day without fail.

However, since it was sub-zero (maybe a slight exaggeration) when I left the house this morning I threw on pair #75. My tall black Uggs! And while they did look adorable with my skirt, they are not completely work appropriate! But they did a fine job of keeping me toasty warm until I arrived at my desk.... and possibly a bit longer into my day then they should have :)

More Coffee Please!

As I finish up my first cup of coffee I am already dreaming of my second. It has been a crazy few days filled with three nights of concerts and then an extended day at Disneyland. I am happy to be back at the office to 'relax' for a while.

Today is pair #73, a gorgeous pair of beige suede BCBG Generation heels.

Not only are these shoes drop dead gorgeous, they are super comfy and the suede is so soft it's yummy! I have them paired with a charcoal grey and cream dress with a red tank peeking through and a red cardigan.

Monday Madness!

Greetings! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend. Mine was over the top and it included two Foo Figheters shows, both SUPER AMAZING! But, I must admit, Cage the Elephant put on an amazing set and I highly recommend seeing them live, if you have the chance. One of the highlights had to be on Friday, when Dave Grohl sat in as the drummer for Cage, whose drummer's apendix had exploded during a show a few days prior. Every tour the Foo Fighters keep getting better and I am already excited for their next tour! I finish up the trifecta tonight in San Diego with show #3!

I also spent some time organizing my shoe collection, which took more time than expected. But I am set for the balance of the challenge and here are some photo's to give you a look at what's to come....

And those are just the shoes I haven't worn yet!

Today I am wearing pair #71. A pair of basic brown Rocket Dog slip on tennis shoes.

Since I came to work 'concert' ready, they are the perfect combo of form and fashion. Not only do they go great with my fitted tee, jeans, and cardigan; but ,they are also very comfortable for the hours of standing I have ahead of me tonight!

For those of you that don't know, I am a HUGE Foo Fighters fan! I'm not sure how it happened, but they are an amazing band... and once you see them live, you get a completely different kind of respect for them. Well, tonight I get to see them at The Forum..... and also tomorrow night. I am capping it off with their final So Cal performance by seeing them in San Diego on Monday. I know... I'm a stalker. The good news is I am not alone. There is one constant in my Foo-tastic adventure..... My big brother will be attending each and every show with me, as has become our tradition!

With that being said, pair #70 is concert appropriate unbleached cotton Converse! And, in honor of Dave Grohl, my mis-matched guitar socks!

Rock-tober?

Can you believe that Metallica has been around for 30 years? This month marks the 30th anniversary of when the band formed.... can you believe it all started because of an ad in the newspaper. Crazy!

Back to business. Today I am wearing pair #66. A pair of bewitching black suede slouchy boots!

I have these boots paired with a 'made by me' plaid skirt (see snapshot), black tights, a black fitted tee, and a black shrug. All warm and cozy on this cool autumn day!

I got this fantastic fabric from my mom, who has been holding on to it since before I was born. She used it to make a maternity top that she wore while pregnant with yours truly. She also used it to make me a jumper that I wore as a child. Even after that there was still enough for me to make the skirt I am wearing today and this great dress for Sidney!!!

I still have a ton of it left too and am open to your suggestions for its use!

I am bundled up today in several layers of warm comfy clothes today. A great flowered scarf, a super warm Ezekial hoodie, tights... the layers just keep on going and they all complement today's shoe choice!

Pair #65 is a cute pair of textured flats with a great bright green trim. And yes, the main fabric is textured, not a print!

I also have worn pair #66 today. My very dirty rain boots with the green bottoms, of course this in only one pair of many!

I have these shoes, and boots when I venture out into the rain, paired with a great green skirt (see trim shapshot below), a fitted white sweater layered over a lace trim tank, and a fun print hoodie.

And let's not forget my super fantastic scarf!

Seeing Spots!

Polka dots, actually! I'm not sure if I've mentioned this or not... but, I love polka dots. I'm not sure why, maybe it's the retro/vintage feel /look or some fond hidden memory. Whatever the reason, I love love love them! And now the rest of this post should make complete sense to you!

Pair #64 is a perfectly polka dotted pair of Rampage peep toe wedges. They are to die for!!!!

I have these shoes paired with on of my 'made by me' skirts. This is one of the first skirts I made without any kind of pattern. I saw a skirt on line that I liked and made my own, I know... crazy!

I really love the fabric and thought it deserved a great polka dot ruffle detail. Here is a quick snap shot.

I am wearing a basic black button down with a great pumpkin colored cardigan, and a fantastic polka dot bracelet. Another snap shot for you viewing pleasure!

I hope you had a great weekend. While mine was not 'fun' or 'exciting' I did get a ton of stuff accomplished... both at home and the office. I am now ready for another hectic week!

MMMMMMM... Coffeeeeeeeee!

Last night I got home from work to a freshly painted bedroom. I am super excited, it looks fantastic, and the color came out better than expected! It's a bright Tiffany box blue and looks amazing with my knotty pine furniture and bright white Shabby Chic bedding. Photo's will be posted once I finish putting everything back. The down side is to my husbands hard work.... the fumes! I had a terrible time sleeping and finally had to resort to sofa city. So here is how I am starting my morning (by the way....don't you love my coffee cup? Thanks again Wormy.... still going strong!)

And, of course, regardless of my sleepless night... the Challenge goes on! Today I am wearing pair #61 a cute pair of suede woven slingback heels.

These are a great pair of 'basic' black shoes that go with everything. Today I have them paired with a green knee length skirt with a scalloped edge and eyelet trim, a black top, and a black and cream printed cardigan.

Okay, it's time for another cup of coffee and to put on my headphones and crank out some work!

Feeling A Bit Wild!

WOW! I am at pair #60! And I must admit, it is starting to get complicated. Trying to keep everything straight, along with the never ending battle of "What am I wearing to work tomorrow?", punctuated by sitting on my bed staring at the closet and thinking.... "No, I don't want to wear those shoes yet" or having to check the 'condition' of my most recent pedicure, which dictates if peep toes are an option or not.

Today I am wearing these great Zebra print pointy flats. These are another staple that I heavily rely on when I just need to grab some shoes and run out the door. They are made with a great, soft, microfiber type material, which adds to the comfort. And when it comes to flats... the pointier the better!

Today I have these shoes paired with dark was jeans, a charcoal grey top with some purple, pink, white, and light grey flowers, and a salmon pink cardigan. You may not approve of the mixed patterns, but I think it adds to the overall look.

I love these shoes, even though they are filthy and the rubber is separating at the sides, they remain my favorite. I can't wait to going back to wearing them several times a week!

Where Did My Weekend Go?

I hope you all had a nice weekend. Mine was jam packed with stuff!!! The cabinet guy put in a few hours on Saturday and I now have a couple cabinets installed in my kitchen.... WOOHOO!!! During cabinet installation, a couple cute kids I know broke in the Easy Bake Oven....YUM! And of course I had my Susan G. Koman 5k. Here are a couple photos....

And, yes, I walked the entire walk in this get up. I was stopped and interviewed by the news, had several requests for photo ops, and the local newspaper stopped me for a photo also! I even met up with my mom and older brother at the Irvine Spectrum for a lunch date in full costume!

Today, I am wearing pair #58. A super old pair of Dollhouse purple leather kitten heels, that I adore and still have a ton of life in them.

I have them paired with flat front jeans, a long ruffled tank and a dark lavender cardigan. Oh and some GREAT vintage accessories my mom gave me yesterday!

Happy Friday! I have been going non-stop since 4:30 this morning.... First, my office. Then a meeting in Irwindale; followed by a meeting in Huntington Beach; then back to my office in Irvine....Yikes 160 miles in one day!

Finally I have two minutes to post SHOES!!!!! Pair #57 is a super cute Blowfish red corduroy flats with a cut knot detail!

Today I have them paired with a cute black and white polka-dot dress, a red tank top peaking through, and a black cardigan. Oh, and lets not forget my Hello Kitty watch!

Good morning! I hope that you get to spend your day finalizing some fantastic weekend plans. I plan on squeezing in some serious relaxation, book reading, and hopefully some sewing. I have some great fabrics that are dying to become part of my wardrobe!

On to business.... today I have two more pairs for you. First is pair #55 a under utilized pair of green suede Roxy clogs. These are my shoes I will be wearing in the office today and out to a nice dinner with some friends this evening.

I love the simple rivet detailing combined with the wood heel and the design on the top of the shoe.

And due to a large job walk today, I have brought along my black Dansko clogs. pair #56. These are amazing shoes that make your legs and back feel wonderful after wearing them. I used to wear this when I was flying and they really make a big difference. Now I try to squeeze them in when I have spent too much time in heels and my back is killing me.

It's been a slow start....

After a very long work day yesterday and a GREAT nights sleep, I still feel like I am moving is slow motion. Not sure if its the dreary weather or that I just need a day of pure relaxation. I will continue to enjoy my hot cup of coffee, while I attempt to keep exhaustion at bay. Trading lines from Napoleon Dynamite with a co-worker is helping brighten my day however!

Today is pair 54! I have had these shoes FOREVER!!! Okay, that is a slight exaggeration, but these have been hanging around for a very long time.

I adore the wingtip detailing and the funky shaped heel. These shoes are great with jeans, slacks, and even skirts. Today I have them paired with black tuxedo style capries, a funky top, a vintage black on black beaded sweater, and fishnets to kick it up a bit.

It's 7:30 AM and I have already had a meeting in Santa Ana, purchased 2-dozen donuts for the office, had a very large cup of coffee, and returned to the office. And I still have a full day of work ahead of me! Thank goodness for my super cute and funky shoes today (and a second cup of coffee)!!

Pair 53 is another in my collection of Irregular Choice. From the front these shoes are all business with their rounded toe and flower detail, but from the back you get a great pop of a Pucci type print that lets everyone know that there is more to you then a great business mind!

Also note the unique heel and scalloped detailing around the back of the shoe.

I love these shoes and today I have them paired with a black dress, a turquoise blue cardigan, and silver accessories. I hope you have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow!

As usual for a Monday morning, I was flying out the door with out time to mentally prepare for my heels that will spend the next 10 hours on my feet. So instead, I threw pair 51, a super fun platform flip-fops by Ocean Minded.

Pair 52 is a great par of Madden Girl peep toe sling back pumps. I love the contrast of the print with the great red heel and black platform.

I'm very glad it is Friday! This has been a long week, but also very productive. Today I have a new attitude, new hair cut, and a great pair of shoes! What more could you ask for?

Pair #50 is another from my collection of Irregular Choice. These vibrant, plaid, peep toes can brighten anyone's day. I always receive a ton of compliments on these shoes, and today is no exception.

Millinery Anyone?

Did you know that today is National Felt Hat Day? A day to wear and make your own felt hat? I wish I would have known; not only do I have a plethora of hats I could have worn, but I also have other appropriate head wear.... tiara, plush Minnie Mouse ears (complete w/bow), and numerous headbands adorned with a variety of appendages. I have one friend imparticular that will be very excited t o know this day exists!

On to business... today I am wearing pair #49. A fabulous pair of Poetic Licence satin sneakers.

These shoes are bright and cheery; the perfect exclamation point on today's outfit and the dreary weather. I have these shoes paired with a black knee length dress and a golden yellow cardigan.

WOOHOO! The week is half over and I can't wait for the weekend! Last night I came home to a new medicine cabinet in the bathroom with a much needed mirror. I also stumbled upon a new cement floor poured and set for my much awaited kitchen. My new cabinets will FINALLY be set this weekend. The new house is coming a long and all these new installations equal NO MORE BOXES! Now that is great news!

Okay, today I have two pairs for you. First, pair 47. A cure pair of brown leather strappy sandals with rivet detailing along the side. I also love the wood heel!

I have these shoes paired with a blue and white flowy dress, a navy cardigan that has some great embroidered bird detailing, and silver accessories.

However, since I have to go in the field to grab some photos I will be changing into pair 48 shortly. These are a pair of cream perforated leather One Star by Converse tennis shoes.

I can't believe we are almost 1/2 way through September already! This year is flying by! And so is this shoe challenge. I cannot believe that I am already on pair #46!

Here are another, more nontraditional, pair of Doc Martens. I love the pebbled leather, the detailed stitching, and, of course, the extreme comfort that this brand is known to provide.

These shoes go with everything from sundresses to jeans and tees. Today I have them paired with flat front, dark wash jeans, a vintage inspired floral top, and a pumpkin colored cardigan.

Training Day!

Well, I will be at an all day field training class so today's shoes reflect my 'appropriate' footwear. Pair #45 is a pair of Doc Martens circa 1990.

I remember I got these shoes at some mega sale my brother had heard about in Burbank. We briefly escaped a family event to peruse the shop and I came away with these. Hard to believe I have had these for so long and that I still wear them. Ultimately they are a great work boot!

...but I am still enjoying my morning cup of HOT coffee! And yes, even those of us that reside in So Cal are under a heat advisory. On days like this I do not miss the heat and humidity of the mid-west; nor do I miss wearing a polyester (gross) uniform while pouring Pepsi to weary travelers on old planes with faulty a/c systems. I rather prefer the comfort of a properly air conditioned office that does not require one to wear polyester!

To accommodate the expected heat today, pair 43 is a pair of chocolate brown Born leather sandals.

They don't get anymore comfortable that Born shoes and I adore these shoes because they didn't compromise any style for all the comfort. I have these shoes paired with another one of a kind, made by me, skirt and a fitted frilly tee layered over a fitted tank.

Pointy & Pink!

Wow this week is flying by! I can't believe it's already Wednesday and that's it's only 2 1/2 weeks until my Susan G. Koman 5 k! I hope the weather cools down a bit before than!

Today is pair 42.... a perfect pair of pink pointy pumps (yes, I love alliteration!). These BCBG shoes are pinker than they appear but I'm sure you get the 'point'!

I have these paired with a one of a kind, made by me, multi-colored/print skirt with a small pink ruffle detail, a fitted white tee with some flower detailing on the shoulder and a pink cardigan.

I am hoping to hide out in the air conditioned office today and avoid the threat of the hottest day of the year. Enjoy your day!

The benefits of a 3-day weekend just keep coming! I love when my work week starts on Tuesday! I hope you all had a nice relaxing weekend and weren't too impacted by the freak rain storm that hit yesterday!

Today is pair 41. A great pair of Roxy tweed tennis shoes! They are mainly charcoal grey but have some great blue, orange, and lime details; however, the don't show too well in the photo.

Happy Friday! And happy 3-day weekend! I hope you have some stellar plans to celebrate the end of summer! I am on call, but will find time for the pool and a visit with a long time girlfriend that is visiting from Washington!

Today is pair #40.... a fantastic pair of purple pointy suede flats with some fun zipper detailing.

I have these shoes paired with jeans, a fitted purple tee with some super cute ruffle detailing, and colorful accessories.

FIGHT ON!!!

I am super excited that the best sport EVER starts it's season tonight... COLLEGE FOOTBALL!!! Even though USC doesn't play until this weekend, I love this sport and what the start of the season signifies; cooler temperatures, the start of fall, visiting an uncrowded Disneyland, and of course --- winter boots!!!

I am feeling great today! Well rested and ready to tackle the day and my shoe choice agrees! Pair #39 is a great, super fun pair of Steve Madden pumps. They are red, shiny, and amazing!

A complete stranger stopped me this morning and said "Good Morning Ms. Red Shoes!" Of course, the fun doesn't stop with the shoes today. I have these attention grabbing pumps paired with black tuxedo style capries, a fantastic red ruffle tank made from this fabric....

And to top it off, I am wearing my Betsy Johnson black cat ring!

There will not be a pair of shoes posted today. I was called into work at 1:00 AM on emergency and will not be going home to 'get ready'; but, instead working straight into and through my normal schedule. I will be back tomorrow, after a good nights sleep, to resume the challenge!

Good afternoon. I hope you are having a fantastic day and avoiding the heat! Today I ran out of the house and was immediately hit with excessive heat and humidity.... but I thought this was California, not the mid-west! What the heck is going on?!?!?!?! I realize that, even as hot as it's been here, I still have it better the 90% of our nation so I will stop complaining!

So pair #37 is another pair of Rainbow sandals. If you haven't tired them yet, you really must! I promise, you will not be disappointed. I threw these on this morning because I was already hot and couldn't fathom putting on shoes and socks!

However, as much as I love flip flops, they are not appropriate office attire! So when I arrived at the office, properly cooled thanks to an A/C set at 58 degrees, I put on pair # 38. A pair of black leather Chucks!

Today I have these shoes paired with jeans, a white top with black polka dots, and a bright yellow cardigan. Actually, my cardigan matches the inside of my Chucks.... how happy is that?!

Manic Monday! I wish it were Sunday because that's my fun day... please sing along if you know the words!

Yes, today has been a typical crazy Monday with a few unexpected surprises thrown in, for good measure! But I have a fun evening to look forward to, with some very adorable young ladies!

Today I am wearing pair #36, a pair of Harajuku Lovers flats. I love Gwen Stefani's design aesthetic, and even though these shoes are a bit loud, I love them! I like the combination of colors and that the green and mustard are suede, but the black is patent leather. And of course the Harajuku babies... both inside the shoe and on the sole.

I have these shoes paired with a full mustard skirt that has some eyelet detailing, a fitted black tee, and a black hooded cardigan. And yes, today you can 'hear' me coming!

Women's Equality Day!!!

Yeah for WOMEN!!! Today is the 91st anniversary of the amendment that gave us the right to vote! What a great day in history that was! And this is a right that I exercise every chance I get. I cannot comment on the state of my city, state, or nation if I sit by and do not do my part for change or improvement by casting a vote.

Today I also celebrate the right to wear flats! Pair #35 is a pair of adorable Jessica Simpson brown suede peep toe flats. I love the flower detail on the toe, it is made from the same suede material, so it is a bit floppy!

Today I have these paired with jeans (they are threatening to give s a dress code so I have been protesting by wearing jeans almost daily!), a super cute bright coral fitted tee (that has an asymmetrical collar and a fun ruffle detail down one side), and bight silver, coral and turquoise jewelry.

Happy Birthday Tim Burton!!!!

I heart Tim Burton and today is his birthday! I recently went to his exhibit at LACMA, which was AMAZING!!! He is a creative genius and visiting this exhibit gave me a deeper level of respect for his awesome works. I can't wait to go back; hopefully, on a less crowded afternoon.

Unfortunately, I did not dress appropriate for such a fabulous day, but none the less, today I present pair #34. These shoes are Madden Girl by Steve Madden. They are a grey, round toe, wing tip style sling back. Definitely one of my more conservative pairs of heels.

I love the extra little strap and buckle detail that goes across the top of the foot. I have these paired with jeans, a purple fitted, ruched top, and a grey cardigan, just in case!

Strange Music Day?!?

Apparently, some crazy musician that likes to create odd music named today Strange Music Day. Do you want to celebrate? You can show your appreciation by listening, creating, or playing strange &/or new music. What the heck, I am always up for some new music!

And today has been a bit strange. Someone didn't believe that I was the crazy shoe girl that I am. I had to provide photographic evidence that my cubicle (and closet) are a shrine to shoes. So I forwarded photos of everything from my shoe-que to my custom made shoe hat (these were both gifts). I even saved a fortune I received that says "a new pair of shoes will do you a world of good!". How perfect is that?!?! Here is how it resides in my office....

Well, with all that being said, today I am wearing pair #33, my cranberry slip on Chucks.

Good morning! I hope you all had a great weekend and that your week is of to a fantastic start! I went to bed super early last night and had a great nights sleep!

Today is pair #32. I got these shoes when I first got hired by my current employer. I remember I was on a leave from flying, and panicked that I only had uniforms and casual, lay over clothes. So in a mad rush I put together a reasonable, office appropriate wardrobe, that included these shoes... my first pointy toe, kitten heels.

These shoes are tweed (black, cream, and brown), with black patten leather pipping and bows... and a 1" heel. I have these shoes paired with jeans, a cream ruffled blouse, and a chocolate brown short sleeve wrap sweater.

These shoes are about 5" high, which I love because it allows me to see over the cubicle walls at work! I hope your week is off to a great start! See you tomorrow!

I am very excited that it is Friday; although, it has not be a good day so far... but that isn't important! What is important is that today is the birthday of 3 very important people in history:

1. Bill Clinton (1946)
2. Orville Wright, of Wright Brothers fame (1871)
3. Snuffleupagus's, of Sesame Street fame.

Today is pair #30, I am approximately one quarter of the way through this challenge.... WOO-HOO! Today I am wearing are a pair of black studded, suede, sandals. I got these shoes last summer at Target for about 5 bucks and they are great, especially when you want something more than a basic flip flop.

I also adore the owl detail that is embossed on the heel of the shoe.

Today I have these shoes paired with a colorful flowing peasant type skirt and a black sweater layered over a red tank. I hope you enjoy your Friday!

Basic Black!

Well, at long last I am at a computer and can upload today's shoes. Pair 29 is a pair of basic black ballet flats that I cannot believe are still wearable. I purchased these shoes for $9 at H&M and only expected them to last through a handful of outings; but , to my surprise, they are still going strong.

As you can see, there isn't much to these flats. However they worked out perfect for my day. I had these shoes paired with a bright Kelley green skirt and a black & white polka dot top. Great for sitting in a classroom at an all day training event.

Worn Out Wednesday!

Today has started of very slow, due to what I believe to be a looming head cold. I am doing my best to fight it off with Emergen-C, a lot of hand sanitizer, and minimal socialization; however, I am feeling a bit worn out today.

With that being said, today was all about comfort. Pair 28 is a pair of adorable Dollhouse flats that feature an Asian inspired fabric and a black flower on the toe.

I have these shoes paired with flat front jeans, a cream blouse, and a long cream sweater. Nothing too exciting today, although one of my co-workers did threaten to steal my necklace today!

Did you know that yesterday was "Global Relaxation Day"? How did I miss that? That would have been worthy of a vacation day by the pool. In my ignorance, I instead spent a crazy day in the office. Oh-well, my calendar is marked for next year!

Today I am wearing pair #27, a pair of black strappy heels with some silver detailing. These shoes are a few years old, and they do not get worn that often, as I prefer a bit of a higher heel. They are thankful for this challenge and the opportunity to leave the box they reside in....

Today I have them paired with a funky skirt I made with this fantastic Echino Japanese import fabric. A black dressy tee, and a purple cardigan.

On this day in 1939 "The Wizard of Oz" premiered in Hollywood, CA. In honor of this nostalgic event, today I present pair #26. A pair of Steve Madden red suede peep toe heels. I know, they aren't RUBY, but this was the best I could do....

Today I have these shoes paired with a whimsical white dress with black polka dots with a red tank peeking through, and a black beaded vintage cardigan.

Congratulations on surviving another week! I hope you have some fantastic plans set for this weekend. I am very excited about my Saturday! I am going to Los Angeles County Museum of Art to experience the long awaited Tim Burton exhibit. I was very sad when this exhibit was announced in NYC last year and I didn't dare to dream that it would eventually make its way to LA, but it has. I am a huge Tim Burton fan, I have seen and love all of his movies, with the exception of Sweeney Todd and I think this requires no explanation.

I can't believe I am up to pair #25. Today's shoes are a pair of pink satin flats with a rose detail on the toe. I got this at Old Navy about 100 years ago, okay maybe that's a slight exaggeration, but it has been a very very long time.

They go great with my custom (made by me) multi colored skirt, pink top, and cream short sleeve wrap sweater. Perfect for a Friday scheduled to be a beautiful 70 degrees! Oh, how I love So Cal! And for those interested, here is a photo of my skirt. I used a great Japanese import fabric by Kokka fabrics....

Unfortunately this is not a great photo, so here is one of the fabric.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MALL OF AMERICA!!!!

The Mall of America (MOA), located in Minneapolis, MN is a place I have spent waaaaaaay too much time, but also had a TON of fun! Spending 7+ years flying in and out of Minneapolis as a flight attendant, (Code name: 'SUPER STU'), this was a place I could find anything I ever needed and then some. Thank you MOA for all the great times!

Today I am exhausted. After volunteering at the fair, I spent the evening at the Laguna Bowl watching the Pageant of the Masters. I have to say they really stepped it up this year and I had a great time, but am paying for it today!

Pair #24 is a pair of Chinese Laundry strappy silver sandals with a quasi wood bottom. They have a very small wedge, about 3/4 of an inch. Just enough to make a difference when I take them off.

These shoes go with anything from jeans to sundresses and are more comfortable than they appear. Today I have them paired with jeans, a long ruffled cream top, a cream cable knit shrug, and fun silver accessories.

OC Fair... Here I Come!!!

Today I am volunteering at the Orange County Fair, which means I am wearing a uniform type outfit. Mandated black pants and a company emblazoned polo complete with matching name badge. Since I do not like to conform I have swapped my black pants for black capris and threw on these shoes for some flair.

Pair #23 is a very old pair of Vans that I feel in love with the second I saw the plaid detail; however, the green laces sealed the deal!

Two 4 Tuesday!

Well, I worked late last night and my entire day has felt rushed ....so I left the house in one pair of shoes and now I am wearing the 'work appropirate' ones.

Pair #21 is a my new pair of Rainbow sandals. These are the most comfortable flip flops you will ever wear, plus they have some kind of crazy lifetime guarantee. Added bonus - they are headquartered in San Clemente!

And here are pair #22.

These shoes are a brown cloth peep two wedge with a cute bow detail across the toe.

As you can tell by this picture, they have a bit of a heel; however, the wedge shoe is very comfortable.

I have these shoes paired with my "Squid Skirt" (a one of a kind creation, made by yours truly), an orange ruffle top layered over a chocolate brown tank.

It's Monday already?!?

I hope you had an enjoyable weekend and are ready to tackle another week. This weekend I had some time to do some light reading and found my new shoe idol in OK! Magazine. I know that within my circle, I have an excessive shoe collection, hence this blog; however, this blurb about the co-founder and CCO of Jimmy Choo is overwhelming. 8,000 pairs of shoes is not something that I strive for, but if I founded a shoe company... who knows what my total shoe count would end up at. Also, that shoe rack... OMG! So jealous!

So on to my insignificant pair #20! These Steve Madden's have been in my collection for quite some time. The black and grey plaid makes them a good neutral shoe and the patten leather strap with silver buckle detail give it that flair that I always look for in a new pair of shoes. Another plus with these shoes is that the heel height allows me to wear these shoes all day long with no issue!

Today I have these shoes paired with boot cut jeans, a red high neck top, and a patterned black & white sweater. Yes, a sweater is usually a staple since my office is ALWAYS freezing!

Pimpin' Friday!

Happy Friday! How are you celebrating? I am rocking some Bob Marley, sipping on an iced green tea latte, and sporting this pimpin' white loafers!

After some technical difficulties this morning, I am happy to finally post pair #19. These Ann Klein loafers where purchased about three years ago because I thought they were hysterical. I figured all these shoes needed was a circa 1970's leisure suit and for me to 'fro' out my curls... then I tried them on. These are one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes I have ever worn. And I am happy to report that I am not wearing a leisure suit today! As for my curls, they have a mind of their own!

Yippee... One more day and it's FRIDAY!!!! I don't know about you, but man this week has been crazy.

Pair 18 is a cute pair of black canvas Roxy tennis shoes that feature the words "LOVE ROCK ROXY" all over in different fonts. They go perfect with my mis-matched guitar socks, jeans, and black top.

Black & Blue!

I am very excited today because one of my co-workers brought it this cookie cake dessert that looks so amazing! I cannot wait for a slice after lunch today! Right now, it's coffee, yogurt and SHOES!

Pair 17 is a pair of bright blue strappy platform heels. I love the color of these shoes. I remember when I first saw them at Charlotte Russe, I jumped at them strictly because of the bright color; however, I didn't purchase them because I just wasn't sure. Charlotte Russe is not a place I typically frequent for shoes and I was a bit hesitant. Of course, since I continued to think about them for days later, I decided I had to have them. I pair them with everything from jeans & tees to dress capries and argyle sweaters.

Today I have these heels paired with a pair of dark wash jeans, a black dressy tank, a super funky black sleeveless sweater, and layered silver accessories. With this outfit, these shoes add a surprise pop of color that I love!
