The Week in Review...

Well, it's another wet, rainy day here in the OC.  But it is great, because it's really cold so I have an excuse to snuggle up on the couch with Wookie!
And, its perfect weather for staying in and baking or making home made soup!
My weekend definitely calls for some baking... and sewing.
Maybe I can get the spouse to make some of his awesome vegetarian split pea soup!

Okay, on to business!  I have a few pairs to post today.  First, pair #139, an incredible pair of lime green pointy flats.  These shoes are made with a super soft, baby wale corduroy and I love them!
At this point, I don't remember what I wore them with, but chances are it didn't match at all.
I love to do that.... it drives some of the people I work with C R A Z Y!

Pair #140 is another pair of pointy flats.  These are purple suede with gold zipper details.

I wore these with dark wash skinny jeans, a paisley poets blouse, and a sort of matching cardigan.
However, since it was freezing on my way into the office, I started my day in pair #141...
A day after Christmas steal from the UGG outlet in Ventura... who doesn't need purple UGGS?

Pair #142 is a pair of Lulu Townsand black suede heels with excellent gold details.

These shoes go with everything from skirts & dresses to my favorite pair of jeans!
I love the gold details on these shoes, they take a basic pair of black heels to the next level!

Thats it for today.  I hope you all have a great weekend!
Stay dry!

Monday Madness!

I hope you all had a stellar weekend.... mine was jam packed with an extra work day;
but, I also had time to squeeze in a long over due dinner with friends and a birthday celebration with family.

Today I have two pairs to add to the collection.
First #137, a pair of retro inspired blue suede pumps from Nordstrom's 'Brass Plum' line.
I wore these shoes last week with a funky vintage black & cream polka dot coat dress, cream fishnets,
a yellow skinny belt and an almost matching blue cardigan.

Awesome, right?!?!

Then today's shoes....pair #138
A scrumptious pair of Steve Madden camel colored suede strappy heels!
I know, not ideal for this weather, but today I am sitting in an office
warm & dry.... so the suede is safe!!!

I have these shoes paired with a pair of light wash, straight leg jeans,
a blue print top, and tons of turquoise and silver jewelry.

Hope you are staying dry & warm!

It's Back!

I know, I know... I never call or write anymore!
Things have been crazy (but when aren't they).
Well, here I am with a plethora of updates on the shoe front....
First I will start with some retirements...
The following shoes have all been removed from the collection.
They had either worn out from extreme wear or no longer fit.

These adorable Nicole mules.... I kept walking out of them, not fun at the office :)

These Bearpaw boots have worn through on the bottom and did not have another winter in them!

These great New Balance running shoes meet their demise at the Camp Pendleton Mud Run.

The following shoes are now too big and not amount of insoles prevent me from walking out of them... and if you know me at all, you know that I am a total klutz and it is only a matter of time before this caused a serious injury!
These tall boots would no longer stay up and looked too slouchy to be fashionable!

And these shoes did not see enough action for me to keep them.  They have moved on to a new home and are receiving the wear they deserve.

So that is 10 pair of shoes retired... there will be more retirements posted in the futre;
however, on to the fun stuff....

NEW ADDITIONS!

I got these great suede pumps a few months ago.  I love to wear them with some of my vintage finds to add some extra flare!

I fell in love with these Steve Madden chevron shoes.  They are an awesome crocheted fabric with a ton of detail and since I am not affraid to mix patterns they get worn more than you might think.

Here are some conservative (for me) faux snake skin wedges.  These add a great pop of color to an outfit and are a nice altnative to some of my crazy high pumps!
So at last count I was at 143 pairs.... minus 10 retirements puts me down to 133... + 3 new pairs and I am back up to 136.  Don't worry, I have more new shoes to post soon!

Have a great weekend!

Slacking Again....

This weekend I came to a conclusion ..... I have so many shoes.  No, this isn't news; however, after hours of organizing this weekend, more like finding space for shoe boxes, I realized that my collection has grown and my posts have stopped appearing.  My goal is to remember to post when I am wearing a new addition.  Today I will be showing you today's shoes, along with a few that have made their debut over the last few weeks (that I remembered to snap photo's of...)

Pair #141 is an unique & subtle pair of Steve Madden peep toes.  I have them paired with limey yellow skinny cords (see photo), a grey print white top and a long grey cardigan.  I heard a lot of "Only you...." today!

Pair #142 is a great pair of BCBG  wedge heels.  They have some interesting detailing and are made with linen.  I wore these shoes with straight leg dark wash jeans, a winter white top, and long flowing cardigan.... they got a lot of compliments!

Pair #143 was an amazing steal at 70% off!  I went outlet shopping on the day after Christmas and scored these beauty's.... a pair of tall suede wedge boots.

Sorry for the bad photos.... but you get the point :)

Well, I have many more photo's to post, and some retired shoes also.  I will do my best to keep up with the photo's for your viewing enjoyment!
